Duo Axis (Zach Sheets, flute, and Wei-Han Wu, piano) presents four of today's most vibrant and expressive composers, including two of South Bend's own. Works by Tania León, Katherine Balch, and Notre Dame faculty David Bird and John Liberatore explore beautiful natural phenomena: small, translucent animals gleaming in caves; birds flitting and alighting; trees woven in golden fabric; and the motion of the planets, drifting through the cosmos.
