Based on the 1987 novel Strangers by Japanese writer Taichi Yamada, All of Us Strangers was adapted by director Andrew Haigh (Weekend, Lean on Pete). The film moves the action to London where a lonely screenwriter is drawn back to his childhood home, and enters into a fledgling relationship with a mysterious neighbor, when he then discovers his parents appear to be living just as they were on the day they died, 30 years before.
