Jeronicus Jangle (Forest Whitaker) is an inventor and toymaker who makes a major breakthrough — not just for toys but for science at large. When his apprentice (Keegan-Michael Key) steals his invention, Jangle and his toyshop slowly deteriorate and fall into financial hardship. Largely estranged from his daughter, Jangle's isolation makes creating joy for others through toys incredibly difficult; however, the arrival of his granddaughter Journey (Madalen Mills) sparks both the passion and creativity required to brighten both his business and the holiday season.
