TLP Mural Painting and TLC Academic Enrichment lecture series featuring Brother Mickey McGrath

- (part of a series)

Location: 200 Main Building (View on map )

TLP is delighted to announce that Brother Mickey McGrath, OSFS, award-winning and nationally-known artist, will be with us in TLP October 30, October 31, and November 1. You may have noticed his artwork in our Lounge. Brother Mickey has done almost all the paintings in our TLP Lounge and in offices.

Brother Mickey is going to design a mural. And he will need 100 people to help paint it. We’ll be painting October 30, 31 and November 1, from 10:00 am to 5:00 p.m. So please save 20 minutes or so to come to the Lounge and paint. This is going to be a community event. We need everyone to participate. You don’t have to know how to paint. You just have to follow the instructions. Come one and all. And invite your friends.

As part of TLP's Academic Enrichment Lecture Series, Brother Mickey will also give a talk on Monday, October 30, 6:00 pm in Room 200 of the Main Building. His talk is entitled “Madonnas of Color and Saints of Color.” Brother Mickey has used his art to promote social justice and inclusion. Dinner will be served.

We wholeheartedly invite you to join in the painting and to come to his talk. Mark your calendars now.
