Artist Talk & Closing Reception Featuring Cecilia Kim

Join us for an artist talk titled "In the Labor of Love" by Cecilia Kim. Cecilia Kim is an Assistant Professor of Film at the University of Notre Dame and a video artist. She was born in Korea and has lived in Australia, England, Singapore, and the US. Kim is a recipient of the WPA Wherewithal Grant and a 2021-23 Hamiltonian Artists Fellow. Her videos reflect her conversations with others, blurring personal narratives with collective memory. She received her BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and her MFA from Virginia Commonwealth University. 
After the MFA Walkthroughs, a closing reception for "Tidal Calling (Ebb and Flow)" will be on the second floor of Riley Hall Photography Gallery at 4 p.m. Please join us for this exciting opportunity to hear from an accomplished artist and learn more about her unique perspective on film and video art.
