This seminar will bring together the top scholars in North America and Europe working on the novela and the short novel, both in its contemporary forms and across the history that begins with Boccaccio. The event will also include award-winning writers. Scholars will give individual presentations that are punctuated by group discussions of two Romebased paradigmatic texts, novelas by Natalia Ginzburg and Henry James.
