Second year MSM organ student Catherine Trausch will present a recital entitled "An Easter in Paris."
This recital, featuring works by Jeanne Demessieux, Thierry Escaich, and Charles-Marie Widor, transports listeners to the sounds of Parisian churches during the Easter season from the twentieth century to today. The program, inspired entirely by Gregorian chant, is centered around Widor’s "Symphonie Romane", his last organ symphony which has been considered an example of organ composition as sacred art.
This performance will be live-streamed.
Event is free and open to the public.
