First year MSM organ student Anne Patterson will present a recital entitled "When My Spirit Grows Faint Within Me."
Spanning two pipe organs, three countries, and five centuries, this recital draws from several musical traditions to portray the journey from the darkness of a desperate prayer to the light of a grateful song of praise. Inspired by hymns, Psalms, canticles, spirituals, and chorales, the music of this program speaks to the soul's dialogue with God. Featured composers include J.S. Bach, Frescobaldi, Mendelssohn, Brenda Portman, and more!
