Directed by Norman Jewison
With Steve McQueen, Faye Dunaway, Paul Burke
Rated R, 102 minutes, Blu-ray
A millionaire (Steve McQueen) with time on his hands gets into the heist business for the love of the hunt. After he has a successful score, an associate for the insurance company (Faye Dunaway) begins asking him a lot of questions. Thus begins a romantic entanglement where each gives enough rope to either pull the other closer or hang them out to dry. Nominated for two Oscars and winner of one, The Thomas Crown Affair is noted for its 1999 remake and will receive attention again when Michael B. Jordan releases the version he's directing and starring in come 2027.
Co-presented by the Meg and John P. Brogan Endowment for Classic Cinema.
