Come listen to students in ILS 33802, the Cross-Cultural Leadership Program summer internship course, read their creative reflections on the summer of 2025.
This year, students witnessed firsthand the challenges facing immigrant communities, particularly in Los Angeles, during a time of political tension. Through poetry, essays, spoken word, art, music, podcasts, and debates, students used the course as a space to process and make sense of the history unfolding around them.
Their work draws on course themes such as liberation theology, migration, immigration policy, transnational families, collectivism, labor, workers, and cultural citizenship.
