Join award-winning author and illustrator Duncan Tonatiuh as he discusses adapting Mexican-American experiences and immigrant stories into compelling books for young readers. Tonatiuh will discuss his creative process with a specific focus on two books: Separate is Never Equal and Dear Primo.
The discussion will be in English, and a light meal will be served.
This event is made possible by the Institute for Latino Studies, the Raclin Murphy Museum of Art, and the Department of Romance Languages and Literatures.
For more opportunities to connect with Duncan Tonatiuh and some of the inspiration for his process, attend Storytellers and Image-Makers at the Raclin Murphy Museum of Art on Saturday, October 19th.
